Synapstory — Screenplay
Page International quarterfinalist — a trauma drama by an EMMY-winning writer/producer
About This Project
The Synapstory screenplay is an original dramatic work that translates the science of trauma and dissociation into powerful cinematic storytelling. Written by Wendy Anson, PhD, it reached the quarterfinals of the prestigious Page International Screenwriting Competition — placing it among the top tier of thousands of submitted screenplays globally.
Drawing on Wendy's remarkable dual expertise as a clinical researcher (PhD, USC) and veteran television producer (KCET, EMMY Award winner), the screenplay achieves rare psychological authenticity. The story explores how memory, identity, and trauma reshape lives — told through characters navigating the intersection of science, healing, and human resilience.
Wendy's career track — from writing for the NIH to producing nationally syndicated documentaries and interviewing Noam Chomsky and Carl Sagan — gives this screenplay an authority few writer-producers can match. She also holds the Adrian Malone Productions writing credit alongside Carl Sagan's Cosmos.
Wendy is actively seeking co-producers, investors, and development partners to bring this story to full production.
